Shivani has always had a fascination with death, which was deepened after working in the aged care industry. However, she found that the dying process and death were topics rarely spoken about, and were often met with anxiety and discomfort. She believes that accepting death as an inevitable part of life and being involved in the dying process can lead people to richer lives. It is a topic she hopes can be discussed openly, with curiosity, and without fear. 

 

This led her to the death positivity movement and AHFA. Shivani was inspired to be a part of AHFA as she believes everyone should have open and transparent information regarding funerals, and the opportunity to carefully consider all their decisions.
